This FREE one-day course includes lunch, tea and coffee, all participants receive a certificate and travel expenses to your local course are covered.
This course runs for approximately 6 hours, aiming to start at 9am and finish by 3.15pm. The times are flexible to allow for school drop off/pick up etc to make it accessible to all.
What does the course cover?
By the end of the course, you will have an understanding of the following:
- What is customer service
- Face to face customer service
- Dealing with complaints
- Accepting compliments
- Importance of product knowledge
- Using the telephone
- Taking messages
- Relaying information
- Using other forms of communication
- Emails
- Social media
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
- Understand the difference between good and bad customer service and how that can impact an organisation
- Tips on delivering good customer service.
Who is this basic-level introductory course aimed at?
- If you are an individual living in the Dover, Folkestone & Hythe and Thanet districts, interested in volunteering but perhaps needing a confidence boost before taking those first steps into volunteering and you meet the below requirements then please get in touch with the team at training@kcv.org.uk
Course participants must be:
- 19 years of age or over
- unwaged (unemployed/retired/house person) or low-waged
- UK/EU Citizen
