18+ Befriending Home Visiting Listening Skills Older People

Description

Loneliness can have a huge impact on older people’s well-being.

Our volunteer Befrienders visit individuals who may be isolated, offering companionship, a listening ear, and encouragement to take part in community life.

Just a small amount of your time can make a big difference to someone’s day

What rewards come with volunteering, and how does it create meaningful change?

Being a volunteer means giving your time freely to support Age Concern Sandwich.

You’ll make new friends, have fun, learn new skills, boost your confidence, and give something back to your community.

Most importantly, you’ll be part of a team making a positive difference to people’s lives.

Requirements

All roles will require a reference check and some will require a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
