Our free courses are basic level, accessible, supportive, friendly and informative and run in partnership with Kent Adult Education. They are aimed at people interested in volunteering who may need a confidence boost before taking those first steps towards volunteering. Or for volunteers who are looking to get into the workplace or  upskilling. 

We can arrange a tutor to run FREE Certified Courses for clients and volunteers of charitable organisations who provide a venue and/or a minimum 9 participants. These courses are all available. Health & Safety, Food Safety, Manual Handling, First Aid, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).

Course requirements – course participants must be:

  • 19 years of age or over
  • unwaged (unemployed/retired/house person) or low-waged
  • UK/EU Citizen/Settled and staying in the UK

Please note our FREE Pathway to Volunteering course delivered by our staff is currently on hold. This course is for individuals living in the Dover, Folkestone, Hythe, Romney Marsh and Thanet districts, interested in doing our new basic level introductory course Pathway to Volunteering, who meet the requirements above.
