Our local charity is looking for enthusiastic volunteers who will help us with our fun fundraising over the festive period.

This will be to attend events with us during December to promote our charity and raise funds for us.

The dates are:

• 6 December: Fundraising in Deal
• High Street with other volunteers to promote our charity and raise vital funds for Christmas food 

• for local people in need. Time 9-3pm. Deal High Street.
• 10 December: Christmas Market at Discovery Park Sandwich, (transport from Deal provided). Selling Tombola tickets to raise funds for our charity.

There will also be other opportunities in December and going forward should you be interested.

What rewards come with volunteering, and how does it create meaningful change?

Our local charity helped over 4,300 people last year, and unsurprisingly this was a 28% increase on the year before. With the cost of living still so high and many benefits and winter fuel payments being stopped, we are seeing the need to help people in Deal and the surrounding areas increase even further. But with a 3 day emergency food parcel for just 1 person costing over £40, we are having to spend around £800 per month to sustain the need we are faced with.

Therefore, support from local superstars like yourselves is vital for us to be able to continue to do the important work we do in our local community.

This Christmas we are aiming to raise the vital funds needed to sustain our charity into the new year and ensure we can continue to help those in need in our local area.
