Happy Befriending Week!
This week we have been celebrating Befriending Week 1-7 November 2021, a time to raise awareness of all the amazing things #BefriendingIs. One thing is for certain though; befriending would not be possible without amazing volunteers who give up their precious time to help others.
At Kent Coast Volunteering, befriending is decreasing loneliness and social isolation amongst people aged 60+ by matching them with volunteer befrienders who phone or, more usually, visit them regularly. We would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank all of our fabulous volunteers for all they do because befriending really does make a world of difference to people’s lives.
