Our recent Network & Knowledge event in Deal was a useful and informative meet up. We were joined by Kerry Banks BEM, award winning fundraiser for Martha Trust and Breast Cancer Now who shared with us her secrets of volunteer recruitment and retention. Rebecca Bullivant gave a talk on the basic principles of DBS checking and how Kent Coast Volunteering can help you get your DBS checks set up. John Sutton, our Chair of trustees gave an overview on trusteeship and what it means to be a charity trustee and last, but not least, Sarah Thomas explained how Stronger Kent Communities can help community groups, charities and social enterprises find the help they need.
