Monkton Nature Reserve, Thanet’s hidden gem, an oasis of calm. 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Can you spare some time as a Volunteer at Monkton Nature Reserve?  We are always keen to engage new people at our friendly site.  We have 16 acres of important species & habitats to look after and a variety of conservation tasks invariably need doing, such as grassland management, scrub clearance, control of non-native plants and monitoring.  

We are committed to conservation and education, and you’ll be helping to preserve rare species and enable rich habitats for all sorts of flora and fauna. 

Whilst creating an environment rich in educational resources.

No previous experience is necessary; training can be given in the use of tools and appropriate PPE will be provided ……. Along with tea & biscuits 😊.

Requirements

Own transport recommended.   The nearest bus stop is in Monkton Village, a 15–20 minute walk from the Reserve. 

No previous experience is necessary; training can be given in the use of tools and appropriate PPE will be provided.
