Description
Front of House volunteers will help our visitors enjoy our museum. They will spend time in the galleries, encouraging visitors to engage with Betteshanger’s mining heritage, natural environment, and the collection. They will use brilliant communication skills to share their passion and enthusiasm for the local history with a wide range of people. This is a great role for someone who loves sharing their stories, spending time chatting with people who share their interests and learning new things.
Availability: Weekly (preferred, but not necessary)
Working with: Kent Mining Museum Volunteers, Museum Manager + Curator, wider KMM team and Betteshanger Country Park Team
Responsible Manager: Museum Manager & Curator
Location: Kent Mining Museum, Betteshanger Country Park
Full training will be provided for all volunteers.

Requirements
Key Competencies:
- Enjoy being with and can communicate well with a diverse range of people
- Be willing to work with a diverse group of individuals
- Have an interest in local history (mining history is desirable)
- Have good timekeeping and are reliable
- Have enthusiasm and positive attitude to provide high standard services in visitor engagement and customer service
