HELP US BRING COMPASSION, DIGNITY AND HOPE TO THOSE FACING HOMELESSNESS IN THANET THIS WINTER

As the cold weather approaches we face the prospect of seeing homeless people on the streets of Thanet.
The Salvation Army and local Churches are working with Thanet District Council’s RISE team to provide a winter shelter in Thanet this year.
Opening on the 6 of October, running until February 2026.

The shelter will provide:-

Overnight accommodation
Daytime access to support services
We are rallying community support to make this provision possible.

You can help by:
Fundraising or collecting donations
👩‍🍳 Volunteering in the kitchen
💬 Becoming a befriender

Requirements

Compassion and a willingness to help the most vulnerable in our community
