Making Connections Dover

Our Making Connections Dover event, in conjunction with Stronger Kent Communities, on Wednesday 16th October, was a resounding success, with many organisations coming along for this great networking opportunity. We will be hosting more events like this, so keep a watch on our socials and website for details.

Accessibility Network & Knowledge event

Aimed at helping organisations more accessible for staff and volunteers, our Accessibility Network & Knowledge event was held on Wednesday, 24 Jul 2024 at Margate Caves, where we were delighted to be joined by:

  • Jon Palmer speaking about deaf awareness
  • Madeline Gray from Kent Association for the Blind, speaking about blindness awareness
  • Claire Parsons from Changing Minds Kent, speaking about mental health first aid
    Then afterwards, there was time to network and share knowledge and information.

Community Champions Network & Knowledge Session

Our Community Champions Network & Knowledge Session, where we were joined by Nicola Wood, Thanet District Council’s Shared Prosperity Project Coordinator was busy and a great success. This event was a table discussion and peer sharing opportunity, a chance for charities and community groups to come together and discuss the challenges and successes of recruiting volunteers and to network with each other.
