Description

Working with our project manager Sarah & core team member Ellie to get Dreamland set up for pride day.

If you want to help at pride, but also want to have the full day free to enjoy the festival, then this is the shift for you!

You will be finished by 10am and free to enjoy the rest of pride with loved ones.

You will be:

– Helping stall holders onto site to set up

– Setting up youth pride

– Setting up merchandise stand

– Preparing green room for artists

– Setting up wellbeing space

What rewards come with volunteering, and how does it create meaningful change?

Margate Pride cannot run without the support of our volunteers, both LGBTQ+ and allies alike! It is more important than ever that Pride events go ahead – we are seeing increasing animosity towards the LGBTQ+ community and we need to show that we will not be bullied into silence.

All volunteers on Pride day will be provided with lunch.

Requirements

Must be able to get to Dreamland by 8am on Saturday 9th August.
