At Margate Pride, our march is the busiest part of the day, and therefore the most in need of volunteers!

Last year saw 3,000+ people marching from Walpole Bay Lawns down to Dreamland in a wonderful display of love, solidarity and protest.

Stewards will be responsible for managing a section of the pride march (in groups), alongside our core team and security team.

Specific information of duties given in training.

What rewards come with volunteering, and how does it create meaningful change?

All volunteers will be provided with lunch, and will receive training prior to the event.

Margate Pride is vitally important for creating meaningful change – especially in the current political climate. We would love for LGBTQ+ people and our allies to show solidarity by volunteering with us and to help keep people safe on Pride day.

Requirements

• Must attend mandatory training session prior to the event
• Must be available from 12:30-14:30 on Saturday 8th August
• Prior experience useful but not essential
