Description

Forward Trust is a charity with a commitment to improving the wellbeing of individuals affected by substance misuse.

Forward Trust also encompasses a community day programme to support individuals to remain abstinent from all substances. As part of their recovery, we would like to provide our clients with a variety of wellbeing classes, such as yoga, mindfulness mediation, tai chi, breath work, sound baths and similar mind-body practices.

We require a volunteer to provide the occasional class (1-2 hours- preferably at our hub in Dover) and for the volunteer to have relevant qualifications.

What rewards come with volunteering, and how does it create meaningful change?

Volunteering imbues a sense of purpose and can be very fulfilling. It can also add to you CV. It can bring a sense of provide for the individual offering their services and brings multiple benefits for the people that they are helping.

The individual who is suitable for this role will help restore a sense of wellbeing for our clients and improve the quality of their lives.

Requirements

Must be qualified in their field and willing to work for a low cost or voluntary basis, for a few hours weekly or fortnightly.
